John Forest Tunnel walk

Sun, 11 Oct 2026
10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

The Railway Reserves Heritage Trail traces the path of the old Eastern Railway, offering a unique 41km loop entirely on railway formations. This scenic trail winds through charming hills communities like Mundaring, Darlington, and Parkerville, showcasing a variety of terrains and providing stunning views, along with numerous historical and natural points of interest.

This can be made as easy or as hard as the group wishes and chosen prior to event and ages of children.

Short loop walk is about 6km in return.

BYO - Lunch, water at least 2 litres per person, snacks, first aid, hats, sunscreen, good walking shoes. It is a nice place to have a picnic afterwards. We saw lots of birds, in one of the picnic areas, recently

Swan View Tunnel from Swan View Station - John Forrest National Park

I would recommend to purchase a National Park Pass, prior. There is an entry fee $17 per car to John Forest National Park.
